Our Beliefs

THE BIBLE

We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man. It is verbally inspired in every way, and absolutely inerrant in the original documents. We affirm the infallibility, sufficiency, and authority of Scripture. We have no creed but the Bible.

THE TRINITY

We teach that there is only one living and true God, and infinite, all knowing and perfect in all His attributes, existing in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each deserving worship and obedience.

JESUS CHRIST

We teach the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and His future return in power and glory. Jesus Christ reigns in the hearts of all believers.

SALVATION

We teach that the salvation of man, who is sinful and lost, is accomplished by the power of God when the repentant sinner—enabled by the Holy Spirit—responds to the call of God in faith. This salvation is of God by grace on the merit of Jesus Christ’s shed blood and not on the basis of good works.

HOLY SPIRIT

We teach that the Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ at the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit indwells, sanctifies, instructs, empowers, and seals the believer until the day of redemption.

THE CHURCH

We teach that all who put their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into the Church of God, of which Christ Himself is the Head. Jesus Christ is the gatekeeper of His one and only Church and salvation makes you a member! The Church is His Body on earth and is charged with glorifying God in all things: building up her members in faith, firmly rooting them in the Word, worshiping, fellowshipping, and praying without ceasing, and advancing the Kingdom of God on Earth until the day of Christ’s return.

Our Values

We will live out this mission as a congregation as we put these values into action:

Prayer is our Priority.

Prayer is the starting point and every point in between. We believe God is already working all around us and prayer helps us commune with God to hear His voice and respond in obedience as we grow and deepen our love for Him.

Love is Our Passionate Response.

Relationships are foundational and love is our relational fuel. It’s part of our DNA. We are called to live in relationship with other believers as well as with our neighbors. As God first loved us, we can love others as His love transforms us and is reflected in all that we do.

Servanthood is Our Posture.

Serving is an expression of God’s love in tangible action. Just as Jesus did not come to be served but to serve, we are called to serve one another in love. We are called to “bless” our neighbors as we serve them in Christlike love.

Partnerships Multiply Possibilities

We can accomplish more through Kingdom partnerships with other Christ-centered followers of Jesus. Kingdom partnerships are not based on addition, but on multiplication. We can do more together. We celebrate the unity we have with other Christ-followers—not simply a theoretical unity, but one forged in actual practice.

Generosity is Our Privilege.

Grace-filled people give generously of their resources and facilities. As Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than receive.” We give because God gave His Son. We are created to be rivers where God’s love flows through us, not as reservoirs that hoard and protect. As we faithfully steward God’s resources, we believe He will continue to bless and provide.

The Holy Spirit is Our Power.

God is always working all around us and He invites us to join Him in this life-transforming work. God’s Spirit empowers us to live out what it means to be faithful disciples in the world today. His Spirit transforms us, equips us and empowers us to be agents of love as we obediently follow Him.
