Pastor Steve Kufeldt -- Lead Pastor

A native of Florida who loves living in the Pacific Northwest, Pastor Steve enjoys being with people and is energized by activity. He loves sharing truth from God's Word and seeks to be an active witness for Christ in word and deed as he serves the larger community in a variety of ways. Pastor Steve is an active part of the local ministerial association, the French Prairie Kiwanis Club, the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce (he will be the president of the Chamber's Board of Directors in 2023) and has been a SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) volunteer at a local elementary school. A fourth-generation minister, Steve enjoys golf, reading, swimming and woodworking. He has undergrad and graduate degrees (B.A. and M.Div.) from Anderson University (Anderson, IN) and has served in full-time ministry for over 35 years, 17 of those as a senior pastor. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Cindy, for over 32 years. She serves the church and community in a variety of ways. They have two married adult children: Seth and Abby. Pastor Dan Smatlak--Worship Leader and Connections Pastor

Dan is a native of the Pacific Northwest (mostly Washington) and grew up learning and loving music and the church. He's been singing in church since he was young and also playing the violin and piano. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, he went on to attend the Anderson School of Theology (Anderson University, Anderson, IN) before his first worship leader position in 1998.

Dan and his wife, Darla, have been married since 1993 and have three daughters, Emily, Erica and Melanie. Dan enjoys baking and good, strong coffee. Dan serves the Hoodview Church congregation in a part-time position. He also serves as a caregiver in a memory care community in the greater-Portland area.
